The Composer is Human. The Band is Not.
Welcome to Monitored.
In an era where the line between creator and tool is blurring, Monitored steps directly into the void. Conceived in Heraklion, Crete, Greece by multidisciplinary designer and composer Vangelis Makridakis (known in the design world as VAG), Monitored is a “Post-Human” rock project that challenges the traditional band structure.
While every lyric, melody, and arrangement is meticulously composed by Makridakis, the audio execution is channeled through advanced AI models acting as the “performers.” This unique workflow allows Monitored to bypass physical limitations, creating a sound that is precise, massive, and eerily emotive.
The result is the debut album, “Ruins” (released November 2025). Tracks like “Digital Dystopia” and “Eternal War” fuse the grandeur of 70s Progressive Rock with the cold, atmospheric textures of Industrial and Ambient music. It is the sound of a “Lost Watch”—time ticking away in a digital void.
Makridakis, whose background in visual design (VAG Design) informs the project’s cinematic scope, treats every track as a 3D object—layered, textured, and designed to be explored. Monitored is not just a band you hear; it is a system you observe.
